For bankruptcy law firms

Your firm manages the agreements.
We support the reporting process.

BK Aftermath is preparing a contracted third-party reporting administration service for legally eligible attorney-fee receivables. The participating creditor retains its underlying account, while approved workflows support accurate data preparation, reconciliation and dispute coordination.

Proposed service model

Purpose-built for the complexities of bankruptcy practice.

BK Aftermath contracts with and bills participating law firms only. Any optional client participation is administered by the participating firm under its own approved terms. Clients cannot enroll directly with BK Aftermath. All furnishing remains contingent on legal, bureau, technical and contracting approvals.

01 / Eligibility & intake

Account screening

Verify the legal creditor, signed fee agreement, chapter, petition timing, discharge treatment and approved reporting category.

02 / Data integrity

Source-ledger controls

Reconcile genuine due dates, payments, reversals, balances and changes without inventing monthly installments.

03 / Authorized processing

Metro 2 administration

Use approved coding, authorized furnisher identities, tested transmission channels and documented exceptions.

04 / Ongoing operations

Quality assurance

Apply pre- and post-submission validation, independent sign-off, account segregation and audit trails.

05 / Consumer protections

Disputes & corrections

Coordinate supported investigations, legally required updates and correction oversight with the creditor and bureaus.

06 / Partner enablement

Neutral client information

Provide your clients a neutral information page. Your firm handles any future voluntary election, eligibility and firm-established charges.

Separation of responsibilities

We don't replace your attorney-client relationship.

The actual creditor owns the attorney-fee receivable and must validate its enforceability and ledger. BK Aftermath's role is contracted administrative support. A nonlawyer administrative business is not assumed to be the creditor merely because it helps manage intake or collection records.

Designated furnishing obligations remain with the legally approved furnisher. Accurate late, closed, disputed and paid statuses cannot be excluded solely to improve credit outcomes.

Legal review

Assess fee obligations, bankruptcy chapter, enforceability and consumer-program classification.

03

Bureau authorization

Verify accepted account categories, selected reporting populations and designated processor/furnisher IDs.

04

Testing & release

Complete secure integration, licensed Metro 2 mapping, file testing, quality controls and signed approvals.

Current availability:

Reporting enrollment and production submission are not open. Category-specific acceptance by Experian, Equifax and TransUnion, and multi-firm furnisher/processor authorization, remain to be confirmed.

Proposed firm pricing · Revised proposal

Clear pricing for participating law firms.

Each firm chooses one flat-rate monthly plan that already includes up to 10, 25, or 50 eligible managed client accounts. You do not multiply the monthly base fee by the number of clients. Only accounts above the plan allowance have a monthly per-account overage. A single $250 one-time firm activation fee applies when the firm starts service. It is charged once to the participating firm, not for each client account. This revised proposal supersedes the prior per-account setup calculation displayed on this page.

Firm Lite$9910$8 each
Firm Standard$19925$7 each
Firm Plus$39950$6 each

For example, Firm Lite is $99 total per month for up to 10 eligible managed accounts—not $99 per client. Firm Standard is $199 total for up to 25, and Firm Plus is $399 total for up to 50. Only accounts over the included allowance incur monthly overages. The separate $250 firm activation fee is charged once when the firm starts service, not once per account and not every month.

Example A · Firm Lite

Up to 10 clients included

One-time firm activation = $250
Firm Lite flat monthly plan (includes up to 10 clients) = $99

$349 first month
Example B · Firm Standard

30 managed clients (25 included)

One-time firm activation = $250
Firm Standard flat monthly plan (includes 25 clients) = $199
5 over-limit clients × $7 = $35

$484 first month

Examples assume eligible managed client accounts and service activation in the first month; taxes and other separately approved charges are excluded. The $250 activation fee is paid once per firm and is not multiplied by client count.

Proposed terms only — not available for billing.

This revised pricing proposal supersedes the previously displayed $50-per-account activation model and requires an updated signed fee schedule and legal review. No billing, production furnishing, or client enrollment can begin until legal, bureau, processor, security, testing, and contract approvals are complete. No charge purchases a guaranteed tradeline or credit-score result.

BK Aftermath contracts with and bills participating firms only. Each law firm independently establishes and administers any legally permissible client charge using its own agreements; BK Aftermath has no consumer fee schedule or direct consumer enrollment.
